"Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" Screening

The New England Vintage Film Society, Inc. invites the community to a free Halloween showing of MGM's 1941 classic horror film "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," starring Spencer Tracy, Lana Turner and Ingrid Bergman, at the NEW-TV studios, 23 Needham St.(off Easy St. between NTB & National Lumber) on Monday, October 29 at 7pm.

Directed by Victor Fleming and nominated for three Academy Awards (Best Cinematography -- Black-and-White, Best Film Editing, Best Music -- Scoring of a Dramatic Picture) the movie is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's victorian novel about good and evil inherent in the human mind.

‘Big City’ screening 

The public is invited to a free one-hour presentation on immigration, naturalization, deportation, police harassment and constitutional rights as viewed through scenes from MGM's 1937 urban melodrama, "Big City," starring Academy Award winners Spencer Tracy and Luise Rainer, at the NewTV studios, 19-23 Needham St., Needham Highlands, on Monday, Feb. 11, from 7 to 8 p.m. The screening is sponsored by the New England Vintage Film Society Inc.
