About Brenda

Brenda's love affair with the silver screen dates back to her great uncle, E.M. Loew, who captivated her with stories of Hollywood royalty (Loew owned the Loew's chain of movie theaters as well as the famous Latin Quarter nightclubs).

Now a grandmother, Brenda founded the New England Vintage Film Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Hollywood's classic films. As president of the Society, Brenda conceived and edited a book exploring Spencer Tracy's early roles at Fox Studios in the 1930s and lectures extensively, holding up Tracy's work as a mirror of American society throughout his long career. She is currently editing a book about American entertainers whose careers transitioned from stage to Silver Screen when "talkies" replaced silent films.

While maintaining the family connection to show business, Brenda is also actively engaged as an entrepreneur in Newton, MA.
